If you’re an international living in Tel-Aviv, you have tons of opportunities for success you may not even realize. Now that Citizen Talks is over, we thought we’d share 3 confidence boosting pieces of career advice we heard from one of our guest speakers, freelance digital marketing strategist and adviser from Los Angeles, Josh Hoffman.
1.Realize You have skills.
Believe it or not, everyone has skills and/or experience that are valuable. Better yet? People will pay you for these skills. The key is just identifying these skills so the people that need them can easily find you (and visa versa.)
2. You don’t need to be an “expert” or have “experience” to start.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to be an expert in a certain field to kick start your career here. We live in the startup nation so professionals don’t just harp on your past experience, but value drive, innovation, and hard work.
3. Personal branding and networking
By developing a strong personal brand and continuing to network both online and offline, you’ll be the first person potential employers and clients think of when they are in the market for someone with your skills.
