Role Summary:

As the Business Development Manager at Citizen Cafe, you will play a vital role in driving our growth and expanding our presence in the United States market, with a particular focus on the Jewish community. Serving as a representative and ambassador of Citizen Cafe in the US, your primary responsibility will be to establish and nurture strategic partnerships within the Jewish world, including Jewish organizations in North America, leveraging your strong network of contacts. Additionally, you will contribute to the mission of Citizen Cafe, which is to connect people to Israel. This position requires a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as a deep understanding of the US market, the Jewish community, and the business landscape within it. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partnership Development: Identity, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with Jewish organizations, businesses, and influencers in North America.
  2. Business Expansion: Proactively identify market opportunities, trends, and customer needs within the Jewish community.
  3. Connecting People to Israel: Promote a deeper connection and understanding of Israel within the Jewish community in the United States through initiatives, events, and programs.
  4. Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners within the Jewish community, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies and execute initiatives tailored to the Jewish market.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Citizen Cafe student ( current or past)


  • Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or sales roles, with a strong emphasis on the Jewish community and Jewish organizations in North America.
  • An extensive network of contacts within the Jewish world, including Jewish organizations, businesses, and influencers.
  • Strong understanding of the US market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape within the Jewish community.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the Jewish context.
  • Passionate about connecting people to Israel and promoting a deeper understanding of Israel within the Jewish community.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Independent work and time management skills


Location: Greater New York 

Employment Type: Part-time (with the potential to expand in the future)

Compensation: Base salary + commissions
